One of our hobbies has been is to get on a train to London and

once there - just WANDER. We pick a starting point and then head

off somewhere. Little Venice to Camden, Westfield to Waterloo,

The South Bank to Burmondsey and Shad Thames, The City and

the markets - Borough, Spitalfields, Leadenhall  also Portobello Road

and Notting Hill and many more.

The enjoyment is in the atmosphere, the sights and sounds and the

pockets of history we discover.  Always interesting are the vistas, the

shapes and shadows of the buildings and the juxtaposition of old

and new.
